Notice of the Passing of a Development Charges Bylaw

NOTICE OF THE PASSING OF A
DEVELOPMENT CHARGES BYLAW


    Pursuant to the Development Charges Act 1997, the Council of the Corporation of the Township of North Huron has passed a Development Charges Bylaw.  Bylaw No.43-2011      passed on October 17, 2011, sets out a range of charges to be collected from new residential development only. These charges vary by location within the municipality, as set out below.  The monies collected are used to pay for services provided by the Township, as set out in the Development Charges Background Report.  These charges apply to all lands within the Corporation, so a key map is not provided.

    The following charges are imposed under the bylaw:

*The listed charges are for single and semi detached units.  Charges vary by residential type based on expected occupancy levels.

A copy of Bylaw No. 43-2011 may be examined at the Municipal Office, 274 Josephine Street, Wingham, Ontario, during regular office hours.

    Under Section 14 of the Act, any person or organization may appeal the bylaw to the Ontario Municipal Board by filing with the Clerk of the Municipality a notice of appeal setting out the objection to the bylaw and the reasons supporting the objection.  The last day for appealing the bylaw is November 28, 2011.
