AARON GIVES BACK!  NORTH HURON PARTNERS WITH WINGHAM IRONMEN CAPTAIN

The Township of North Huron Recreation Department and Aaron Armstrong, captain of the Wingham Junior C Ironmen, have teamed up to offer free fun hockey program to all minor hockey players in the area.

Aaron approached the North Huron Recreation Department about volunteering as an instructor to give back to the community.  “It’s my last year with the Ironmen so I want to find ways to give back” explained Aaron.  The Township of North Huron jumped at the chance to get youth active, enjoy the game of hockey, and learn from one of our local hockey champions.

Aaron Armstrong has notched numerous awards and records as a Wingham Jr. C Ironmen, but what stands out most is his desire to be part of the community, and share his passion for hockey.  “This new program is free, open to all ages, for all skill levels.  No need to register, just drop in and be ready to have some fun.” clarified Pat Newson, Director of Recreation and Facilities for North Huron.

Attached is the flyer with the details on the program, dates and times.  The program starts tonight, so whether you play for Wingham, Blyth Brussels, South Bruce, Lucknow, Howick, or Ripley it makes no difference, everyone is invited to join the fun!
