Members of the community invited to participate in countywide economic development strategic planning
July 30, 2015
Huron County’s countywide economic development strategic planning process is set to launch on August 10th, 2015 at 7:00pm. Members of the community are encouraged to attend this open to the public meeting at Libro Community Hall in Clinton.
This spring, the Huron County Economic Development Board and Huron County Council agreed to support a truly countywide strategic planning process. The process will ultimately allow for all ten municipal partners in Huron County to develop, implement and measure economic development priorities, goals and activities in a consistent and coordinated manner should they choose to participate. Each municipality will also be given the opportunity appoint a five person team to work through the process on their behalf.
A critical part of this process will require each municipality to collect feedback related to economic development from members of the community. As a starting point, any individual interested in contributing their thoughts and ideas to the strategic planning process is invited to attend the project launch. At the launch, meeting facilitators will introduce each municipality’s team and explain how members of the public can participate throughout the process and have their voice heard.
Any questions members of the community have about the strategic planning process or launch meeting can be sent to Huron County’s Economic Development Manager, Natasha Fritzley (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Members of the media are encouraged to reach out to their local municipal CAO or Economic Development Officer for quotes.
