Huron County residents urged to continue following public health directions for a safe and enjoyable Easter weekend.
Huron County, Ontario – Sunshine, warmer temperatures, and fresh spring blossoms are lifting spirits across the County as Huron heads into the long weekend. There is much to be joyful about, but as residents prepare for holiday celebrations they are reminded that the risks of COVID-19 remain steady. Residents should continue to follow all public health recommendations this Easter weekend.
“As we enter into spring this year, we have much to be grateful for and excited about, but we are not out of the woods yet,” said Warden Glen McNeil, “It is as important as ever that we continue to follow all public health directions, including those individuals who have already received their COVID-19 vaccination, to keep our family, friends, coworkers, and neighbours safe and healthy this long weekend.”
While the case count for COVID-19 remains steady for Huron County, it is undeniable that the risk is ever present, as cases rise and COVID-19 variants of concern emerge across the province. Residents can find information on the County’s current guidelines in Ontario’s COVID-19 response framework.
Huron County residents are reminded to continue to take actions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and to be an advocate for Public Health adherence in their own homes and communities:
