Have Your Say! County of Huron introduces a new virtual community engagement platform.
Huron County, Ontario – Huron County Connects, the County of Huron’s new virtual engagement platform, provides community members more opportunities to become informed and ‘Have Their Say’ on a variety of projects and initiatives led or coordinated by the County.
Community engagement enables more intentional interactions between communities and public decision makers. Community engagement is about informing, listening to, and working with residents to build long-term relationships for the purpose of bettering the community. By expanding the County’s existing community engagement opportunities to include a virtual platform, the County will be able to reach more individuals, increasing the number and variety of voices contributing to the conversation, leading to improved outcomes.
“Everyone in our community should be offered the opportunity, not only to become informed on local matters, but to also contribute to public projects,” said Huron County Warden Glen McNeil. “With this new virtual engagement platform, we are better able to work collaboratively and include a broad range of diverse voices and perspectives. This will help ensure we are able to achieve solutions that benefit all of Huron.”
The Huron County Connects is a dynamic and interactive virtual engagement platform, that provides participants with the information they need to engage with County staff in real time and in a meaningful way. It offers a variety of engagement tools including surveys, quizzes, forums, Q&A’s, maps, stories, multimedia, and more.
Projects listed on Huron County Connects are County of Huron initiatives identified for public engagement, and led by County staff.
