North Huron Approves New Strategic Plan

NORTH HURON, ON (November 10, 2023) – The Township of North Huron Council has approved the new 2024-2027 North Huron Strategic Plan. The previously developed 2020-2023 North Huron Strategic Plan expires at the end of this year. The new Plan, which was developed in collaboration with Capstone Project Solutions Inc., builds upon the previous plan and provides direction to assist Council and staff with future decision-making.

“This Plan establishes short-term and long-term goals and defines what actions will be taken over the next four years to move our municipality forward,” says Reeve Heffer. “Over the next four years, I want North Huron to move forward positively and proudly as we achieve the goals and address the priorities established within the 2024-2027 North Huron Strategic Plan.”

Significant community engagement took place to receive community input on the new Strategic Plan, including the hosting of a Strategic Plan Open House on September 27, 2023, and requesting feedback via an online survey.

The 2024-2027 North Huron Strategic Plan contains six goals with various action items to guide the continuous improvement of programs and services to meet the evolving needs and priorities of the North Huron community.
