Emergency Preparedness Week is an annual event that takes place each year during the first full week of May and is an opportunity to encourage Canadians to take concrete actions to be better prepared to protect themselves and their families during emergencies.
Let's Beat COVID together
- Stay Home – to reduce the risk to others;
- Frequent hand washing – If soap and water are not available, use alcohol-based hand sanitizer;
- Essential trips only – support local businesses, order over the phone, and explore curb side pickup;
- Physical distancing – stay in 2 meters (6 feet) away from others in public;
- Support the vulnerable – call, text, check-in on your neighbors;
- Stay informed and connected – check credible sources of information and keep in touch virtually with friends and family.
