The Fire Department of North Huron has a Part Time Fire Prevention Officer. The FPO conducts inspections on request or complaint, reviews and gives advice on fire safety plans, provides fire safety and public education.
Fire Inspections
The Fire Department of North Huron will conduct a fire inspection if
- a complaint is received regarding the fire safety of a property
- a request is made to assist a property owner or occupant to comply with the Fire Code

The Fire Department of North Huron has a part time Fire Prevention Officer and he should be contacted regarding any fire inspections that need to be performed or fire safety information is needed.

The Fire Code is a regulation made under the Fire Protection and Prevention Act, 1997 consisting of a set of minimum requirements respecting fire safety within and around existing buildings and facilities. The owner is responsible for complying with the Fire Code, except where otherwise specified. The municipal fire department enforces the Fire Code. The regulation may be accessed on e-Laws.
