For specific hydrant flushing dates please contact the Township office at 519-357-3550 ext. 128. Hydrant flushing occurs annually, usually in May/June and October/November.
Veolia Water Canada conducts hydrant flushing in both the Spring and Fall of each year as a quality control measure. During hydrant flushing water may turn a brown rusty colour. If this happens, please run your cold water taps for a few minutes before using any water (ex; running your dishwasher or washing machine). Hydrant flushing may also result in a temporary decrease of water pressure. Your water pressure will return back to normal upon completion of the hydrant flushing.
